About Alan

Alan’s legacy of community service started in 1978, when he first moved to Ontario, and began getting involved locally with several city nonprofit organizations.

Soon after his move, he became a sworn police officer for the Ontario Police Department. As part of his commitment to community, Alan felt it his responsibility to actively be involved as a volunteer in citywide charity events, organizations, and neighborhood activities that fostered public safety, strong families, and community spirit. Eventually, Alan would retire with distinction from the Ontario Police Department as a Sergeant.

Continuing in his community service, Alan was first elected to the Ontario-Montclair School District Board of Trustees. Then, in 1994, Alan was elected to the Ontario City Council where he has served for over 30 years. 

Since being elected to theCity Council, Alan has been a leading force in numerous accomplishmentsto improve the quality of life.  Alan is proud to have envisionedand brought to fruition Toyota Arena and bringing Ontario the minor league affiliate of the Dodgers to the new ONT Field stadium. Other significant projects Alan is proud of are the  Ontario the OntarioSoccer complex, new and expanded police headquarters, six new fire stations, and expansion of community programs. 

Alan is married to Judi, and they have five children and seven grandchildren. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Southern California and a Law Degree from Whittier College School of Law.  He currently serves as Mayor Pro Tem, and President of Ontario Airport.
